I’ve got a crazy life… but who does not? It all started Saturday morning with a short phone call. Lisa called her mother but she was in a rush because she had to help cooking for a wedding, a Lisa’s friends’ wedding… They did invite us but with 38 pregnancy weeks we found it wiser to stay home. So, we stayed home and got visit from my parents. Then the following came at 9 O´clock in the morning:

« Honey, I wish we were at Galina´s and Alfonso´s wedding » « – Okay, let us drive 450km right now »

and we drove the 450 km with my parents, made a surprise to Lisa´s family, attended the wedding to surprise the bridal couple (okay we did miss the ceremony but arrived just in time to eat have a great time and take some pictures), had a really nice time as family on Sunday and drove back in the afternoon (450 km again and we did arrive just in time for Hawaii 5-0…hihihihi).

My life is crazy and I like it.. Check here !

Have you ever been amazed about timelaps photography? I have and that is why I wanted to try it yesterday night, just to see what result I could get with a really quick set-up.

I took therefore my tripod, my 5d mk II, my 50 mm 1.4 and a polar filter.
I set up the lens with f 4.0 and my TR-90 to shoot pictures every 40 sec.

Unfortunately my battery did not last the whole night but I found the result not so bad for a first try. I also did not edit the pictures that I took in JPEG and not raw for a first try.

Then I sat at my keyboard and let my let my fingers play something soft and slow as often used for such videos…

I am really looking forward to try it again with a better view.. Maybe this winter in Grenoble and in the mountains or maybe on the tower on the EPO (if I succeed to get the authorization…), let see.

So, here the result. Let a comment.
See you,
Sam.

And now with the quick vintage preset I used for the Grenoble’s post:

  • Bertina - Love it! I love how the light is such an important thing…for both the images but also the « story » because I do feel like there is a story in it.ReplyCancel

The sun is back and it smells like summer, real summer… We went this time to Scheveningen and had a really really great time.
We walked along the beach and found a funny spot with stones in water, perfect to take some pictures… But this time, we took some accessories: wind mills. Theses wind mills do have a story. One year ago we meet for the first time Nadia, a really really really (did I say really?) great wedding photographer and now a friend (It´s simple: you want great photos for your wedding, just book me… You want stunning, amazing, breathtaking photos, book Nadia). Lisa and I drove from Holland  to Germany and stopped at a « Baumarkt » in order to buy flowers but instead we bought two small plastic wind mills, which should symbolize our future home (Holland) and the result was just so great: look !

One year after that, it´s almost the same… except for small differences… We were 3 with Nadia and with the Baby we are also 3… we did take a few kilos, but we had both time a really great time… Just enjoy by clicking on the photo.

After having fun just spend the rest of the afternoon in a beach bar enjoying the sun and the time just the three two of us. It was just what we needed: time together… Then we walked back direction the Pier and played with a yellow submarine container. Just click on the photo to continue the journey.

For dessert we enjoyed the sunset and fireworks at the beach…

It was just a really great day. Just come visit us ;o) !
