Le blog de Sécham » C'est beau, c'est simple, Sécham.

So last Sunday afternoon Lisa and I had a small walk… A walk to remember not because the weather was really great (it was not…) or because the nature was so beautiful, nope. A walk to remember because it was (I hope) our last Sunday walk just the two of us. Next time baby will be there!
The other funny thing, it was also my first walk with my 35 mm 1.4 and I know one thing: I have to train hard to really master this great lens and find my own style with it.
Come you along with us ? It starts here.

  • Liesi - Ein einfacher schöner Abend bei uns 😉 Danke mein Schatz!

Je me confie en toi.
Je sais que tu es mon Dieu.
Mon avenir est dans ta sûre main,
Oui, dans ta sûre main.
Je te bénis, Seigneur.

Tu es mon puissant Sauveur.
Oui, ton amour pour moi dure à toujours,
Pour moi dure à toujours.

I do love this song… and because it’s my blog I wanted to share it with you. Especially at this time. If you’ve read my previous posts you should know that Lisa and me are waiting for our little girl. We are really excited about the idea to become parents and just cannot wait to see the face of our little girl and to hear her first cry and to see her first smile.
But our little girl is quite special because she’s got a congenital heart defect which can be corrected with surgery… It´s quite tough but you know, what ? We trust in our Lord Jesus and that the life of our little baby girl is in His safe hands…

This song is all about that, about the trust that we have in His safe Hand and His indescribable love.
We don´t know how everything will be but we know He´s here.
Just enjoy.

In my post August a photo a day I used a picture I took in Spring form the treasure of Petra. I told me then that I should also published some pictures and videos I took there in order to share with you my small Jordan experience. I realized that I deleted my raw files. So you´ve got there direct jpeg from the 60d and the 35 mm 2.8 and I hope I can give you some motivation to visit this great country. But let us start with the story:

At the beginning of year we decided to fly to Jordan in order to visit the country and to visit one of our friend in Amman. It was somehow crazy – flying in March just after the 12 weeks pregnancy period and during the whole process of moving and hearing some terrifying things about Syria – but it was worth it.
Jordan is a great and safe country, the food is just heaven and the landscape are beautiful. Most of the people speak English which is really helpful to find your way in big cities like Amman.
As we stayed just one week we just had the short program: Amman, Petra, Madaba and the Dead sea.
The people are also really kind and extremely hospitable.
We really hope to be able to fly again there to spend more time at the Dead sea and to go also to the south of Jordan (red sea).
Here are some advices I can give you for your trip:
– March / April is a really great period fly to Jordan but take some warm clothes… The night there can be really really cold.
– Have also some ear plugs with you in order to not get awake at 4.30 a.m. by the morning prayer.
– If you visit Petra, plan two days (the two-days-ticket costs just 5€ more than the one-day-ticket) and check also when Petra by night takes place (We didn´t do it but I heard it’s really cool)
– A good and fair location in Petra can be Cleopetra. Really nice service.
– For the dead sea, spend one day ore more in a Hotel beach like the Mövenpick.
– Taxi drivers are crazy but it´s the better way to circulate in big cities.
– You have to try the traditional food (sweets, bread, sauces…)

Okay now let just have a look at a few pictures and a small montage.

Short about the presentation: yes I am crazy and I Aladdin is really one of my favourite Disney.

Bon voyage !
