Did you notice? Winter is knocking at the door. I just cannot wait to take pictures in a snow white landscape but for the moment I am still enjoying the very last colours of autumn. This week-end Ketsia received the visit of her « Opa » and « Oma ». They drove from Germany with a lot of presents and a small thing from me. Indeed I bought on ebay.de a « 24-70mm L 2.8 I » that was delivered at my in-laws place. Visit of Opa and Oma, the colours of autumn and Ketsia who is growing, all the ingredients were there to test my « new » gear.
We started with a pseudo home photoshoot with Ketsia and her turtles and went then for a walk in the park. It was really great and I am starting to like that new lens, which is useful when you cannot easily change your gear outside (especially in the Netherlands..ahahaha).
Enjoy the pictures !

And as a special gift, Ketsia just wanted to say « Hello » to you (or maybe more « Au revoir »)

It´s been a while I did not take pictures of something else than my family (although I do love taking pictures of our small family and Ketsia is just so sweet). a few days age I received a small sheet of paper about a photo contest with topic « Donker Oud-Rijswijk » (Dark old Rijswjk). Rijswijk is the city near The Hague where we are living. We really like our area and the old city center has got this typical Dutch flair. So it was perfect for me, as Ketsia is a really sweet girl and is sleeping at nights. Taht let me, before the midnight bottle, enough time to take some pictures.
Here a small preview. I may also take picture of the old church from the inside and update this post.
Enjoy the view of the old church of Rijswijk.

« We are family
I got all my sisters with me
we are family
get up everybody and sing »

I just like the rhythm of that song, and yes, last week I had all my sisters with me and he was really great. Ketsia met her Grandpa and her two lovely aunts for the first time (she did met her Grandma just before surgery).
These are the moments which remember you what a grace it is to have a family. I´m God so thankful that I still have my father, my mother and my two sisters, that I love them and that they love Lisa, Ketsia and me.
Nowadays the society tries to « re »-define the concept of « family » like  « a plurality of persons who are bound together by blood and/or love« . The only problem it that many people do not realize what « love » really is. Love is not a feeling but love is a decision, you have to make the choice to love someone else.

I could seems quite old school for a lot of people. But I want Ketsia to have  me as her loving father and Lisa as her loving mother. It´s my vision and I believe it´s God´s conception of a family and with these photos I just want to share these moments with you. Enjoy !
