Do you remember that Sunday walk? Seven weeks later we had our first walk with Ketsia. For the very first time she could « see » the outside world. I love the colors of fall. It was short (just like that post) but we had a really great time with our « Petite Merveille ».
Wanna join us once for a walk?

« Home sweet home! » Yes Ketsia discovered her home last Tuesday! We are so happy! No beeping machines anymore, just the 3 of us (plus times to times some visitors…). We are God so thankful that Ketsia is now with us. She still needs medication and should go to the hospital almost every week but the most important is that she is here and that we can also be here for her. It´s quite a big change for the whole family and we are still in the transition phase (I hardly had time to make that post).
People say that « Home is where your heart is », Ketsia’s heart is beating now here with us and we want to fill it with love.
Thanks to all of you for your prayers and enjoy the first pics of Ketsia at home.

  • Stefano - The most beautiful photo. At home, looking at her parents.ReplyCancel

  • Martin - Praise God for this news. She’s a fighter and a winner. I rejoice with you both
that Ketsia is finally home where she belongs. I pray she’ll get to the point soon
that she’ll no longer need all the medication. EnjoyReplyCancel

I have to share something with you. No, Ketsia is still in the hospital but yesterday and today were great days for her. For the very first time, Ketsia was not monitored anymore. It was really a beautiful moment. On the one hand you are so happy that the condition of your child is getting better and better but on the other hand you are a little bit scared because you cannot see on the monitor her heart beat and her respiration frequency… Lisa and I are so thankful for this big step. No monitoring means also more freedom just as leaving the room to go the special playground for children in the hospital! And there was a piano there !!! I really enjoyed playing for my daughter… As she begun to listen to my music, she became very calm and slept then tight. She maybe remembered the songs the used to listen to, when she was still in the womb.
She may very soon go home! Praise the Lord and thank you for you prayers!!

So here some photos of « no more monitored » Ketsia

And as people liked the « Knuffel », I made a new small stop-motion film. Enjoy !
