Le blog de Sécham » C'est beau, c'est simple, Sécham.

All good things come to an end… I am not speaking about Laëtitia’s and Ruben’s love because as it was said at their wedding ceremony they got married to live a love that lasts. I am pretty sure that they will as they have « J » as the centre of their couple.

Yes, all good things come to an end and that particular good thing is my first wedding season ! 5 weddings that I had the chance to cover. 5 couples that put their trust in my work. I am really thankful for this season. I learnt a lot and I just cannot wait for the next season to come. If you like my work, please feel free to comment, to share, like Sécham on facebook and tell your friend about Sécham if they are looking for a photographer. Thank you very much 😉

So let’s go back to Laëtitia’s and Ruben’s Wedding. Weather forecast had planned thunderstorms but God gave us the sun. It was a pleasure to cover that special day. Special not only for Laëtitia (who was wearing a dress tailored by her mum) and Ruben but also for Laëtitia’s Grand-parents who were having their 50th wedding anniversary… Yeap 50th years. I told you, Laëtitia and Ruben want to live a love that lasts and on top of « J » they got also good examples on earth.

The program of the day was full and we went to many different places: Loriol for the preps, Loriol Tennis club for the sport portraits, Aouste for the portraits, Allex for the civil ceremony, Loriol for the church ceremony, Bourg-les-valances for the evening feast… It seems a lot but everything went smooths thanks Laëtitia’s and Ruben’s sense of organization. At the end of the day I was exhausted (and had to catch my flight 6 hours later) but it was worth it.

Laëtitia and Ruben, thanks for your trust and I wish you all the best. Hope to see you soon around in Grenoble or in the Netherlands.

And you dear reader, I invite you to have a little taste of that special day through the next pictures. I hope you like them as much as I do.

  • Jean-Pierre Bory - Photos magnifiques ! et certaines très originales. Bravo. Mais une petite question : comment le photographe a-t-il réussi à faire les 4 premières photos ? ReplyCancel

One year ago we were there:

This was the day of the Ketsia’s open heart intervention…
When I watch the « see you soon » video I cannot really the emotions which are still somewhere deep in my heart. It was quite a tough time but I am pretty sure that the whole thing had a purpose. Which one? I do not know…
I am also sure that is not by chance that Lisa’s favourite bible verse, which is also our wedding verse, is Jeremia 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you, » declares the LORD, « plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a futureHope and future, these two words still resonate in my heart. Hope this the only thing we had one that day. We were waiting, we were praying and a lot of people all around the world were praying for us, with us…

Now I can see that « future« . What a tough year! But it was filled with a lot of blessings. When you see Ketsia now, you cannot realize what she went through. Only the hidden scar on her chest remind you the reality… But not the pain and the sadness of all she/we went through. This reality: Ketsia is our small miracle. In fact, every single life is a miracle but people often needs tough stories like Ketsia’s to realize the blessings that they actually have.
Maybe that is the purpose of the all thing: make me, make us aware that the time we have, the life we have is a present, even if there can be hard times.

I pretty sure that God has still a lot of plans for her, for us, but for the moment I just want to be thankful for our little princess, for this year of blessings. HE carried us all this through and HE will surely do it again.

I am also thankful for the pretty holidays we had. Ketsia does need the feeding pipe anymore. We could really enjoy the time in France and Germany. Ketsia could also meet for the first time her cousin Simeon.

1 year, 1000 impressions, I cannot just wait for the next one. What’s coming next? no idea, but one is sure Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Thanks again for reading, praying, sharing a little piece of our life. Feel free to comment and enjoy some pics of our time in France and Germany.

  • Nadia - I am rejoycing with you guys! So happy for all 3 of you! Ketsia is one strong little woman and she has brilliant parents!
God has tough ways for us sometimes, but I am so glad you could turn this pain in something positive and see the good things about it! Blessings ! xo NadiaReplyCancel
