1 year, 1000 impressions…

One year ago we were there:

This was the day of the Ketsia’s open heart intervention…
When I watch the « see you soon » video I cannot really the emotions which are still somewhere deep in my heart. It was quite a tough time but I am pretty sure that the whole thing had a purpose. Which one? I do not know…
I am also sure that is not by chance that Lisa’s favourite bible verse, which is also our wedding verse, is Jeremia 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you, » declares the LORD, « plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a futureHope and future, these two words still resonate in my heart. Hope this the only thing we had one that day. We were waiting, we were praying and a lot of people all around the world were praying for us, with us…

Now I can see that « future« . What a tough year! But it was filled with a lot of blessings. When you see Ketsia now, you cannot realize what she went through. Only the hidden scar on her chest remind you the reality… But not the pain and the sadness of all she/we went through. This reality: Ketsia is our small miracle. In fact, every single life is a miracle but people often needs tough stories like Ketsia’s to realize the blessings that they actually have.
Maybe that is the purpose of the all thing: make me, make us aware that the time we have, the life we have is a present, even if there can be hard times.

I pretty sure that God has still a lot of plans for her, for us, but for the moment I just want to be thankful for our little princess, for this year of blessings. HE carried us all this through and HE will surely do it again.

I am also thankful for the pretty holidays we had. Ketsia does need the feeding pipe anymore. We could really enjoy the time in France and Germany. Ketsia could also meet for the first time her cousin Simeon.

1 year, 1000 impressions, I cannot just wait for the next one. What’s coming next? no idea, but one is sure Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Thanks again for reading, praying, sharing a little piece of our life. Feel free to comment and enjoy some pics of our time in France and Germany.
