Work is done, rest in Him

« Work is done, rest in Him » this were the first words I read this morning after a very long day and a quite tensed night.
Yesterday morning entered Ketsia into the operation room for her heart surgery intervention. We knew it could be a long intervention and it was ! After 8 hours of waiting we received the first information : surgeons were struggling with coagulation issues. Two hours later I shortly saw Ketsia through the door of our waiting room. She was out and it was such a relief . 10 hours fighting. After a small talk with one surgeon we could go to Ketsia. It was a strange feeling of joy and fear especially when she begun to be unstable. She was still losing a lot of blood. We went again to our waiting room and prayed. After a while we could go again to Ketsia, she was a bit more stable but we were asked to spend the night at the hospital as her condition still critical was.
It was a long night but one verse came into my mind « In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. » Psalm 4:8 Yes the Lord gives us safety. The night went well and Ketsia’s condition is improving slowly. Full recovery is still a very long way to go but we are thankful for all the work done yet and every step Ketsia makes forward (independence of the machine and medication…)
Therefore are we waiting, resting and persevering in prayers. Thanks again for your support and your prayers and see you soon.
