I really love that period of the year and this Christmas was really particular because it was Ketsia’s first Christmas. We celebrated it just the 3 of us as Ketsia’s condition was not ideal for travelling to France. We spent the last week at the hospital but were allowed to go home a the feeding tube in order to spend Christmas at home. Tomorrow we are heading back to the hospital and on Thursday (27th) Ketsia will have a catheter balloon intervention .
It is/was quite a tough time for us: spending a week at the hospital and then waiting for a new intervention… But still this Christmas was wonderful. I do miss France, my family and the really great time with my cousins, but I’m so thankful for Ketsia and for the fact that we could spend Christmas as a family.
I realized the way we have done so far, all the grace and joy we received.
As a proper Christmas celebration we had a lot of presents and also a really good meal as you can see on the pictures.

But first of all we also took the time to think about the true meaning of Christmas, namely the fact that once upon a time Jesus came to earth. The angel said « Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord » (Lucas 2, The Bible).
This is it « Fear not and rejoice »! Although all our troubles, I know I can have « no fear » and rejoice.
I wish you all the same.
