Le blog de Sécham » C'est beau, c'est simple, Sécham.

We had last week-end the visit of 3 good friends from France. We were all together in Versailles during our « Classes préparatoires ». Imagine two years of doing a lot of maths, physics and chemistry and a little bit of foreign languages, french and sport. Sounds pretty tough – and it is – but it was still a great time because of the really good friends that we made at that time.
That is why it was really a pleasure for Lisa and I to meet Constance, Tosia and Sarah again (last last time was at our wedding in Munich… time flies…). And for them it was the occasion to meet Ketsia after having seen a lot of pictures of her (too much?…nope. I cannot take enough pictures of her).

Ketsia is growing and starts to really enjoy going out in order to discovers new worlds. Saturday was the perfect day for it. We started the Baby’s day out by a yummy brunch (great food, great talk) in order to gather strengths against the cold wind. We went then to Scheveningen. It is not really my favorite spot but it belongs to the « must have been seen » in The Hague and it was there quite busy because the beach bars were under (re)construction (just cannot wait to spend some time there in the summer).
It was a lot of impressions for our sweet princess, who enjoyed the ride (especially the tramway).

Back home and after discovering the flavor of bananas, it was time for a quite and peaceful walk in the ergo baby.
After the words here come the pictures, enjoy.

  • miniz tata - aaaaaaaaaaaaah je suis fan des photos n°12 et n°13: une vraie gangsta cette petite Ketsia! c’est bon, elle a finalement bien adopté le porte-bébé on dirait 😉

Ketsia is almost an half year old now. It happened a lot in the last months but still there is plenty of room for « premieres ».
Indeed baby is growing and also teething. After a couple of days of red cheeks, slight high temperature and a little bit of crying, the very first two teeth of Ketsia eventually came in order to make her smile even prettier. Lisa and I have the impression that the third one should come pretty soon but no sign of it yet.
We (and the half city) went on a sunny Sunday afternoon for the first time at the beach with Ketsia. The promenade and the restaurants were crowded but we had a really great time. We were so glad to have managed to go to the beach. It is like a feeling of freedom in our « feeding-pumping » scheme and our « feeding pipe story ». We can see that things are going forwards. Ketsia should still put more on weight and drink better but it is going forwards and it is such a joy and blessing to be able to witness this evolution.
As it was too much new adventures for our sweet little girl, she decided to install a little bit of routine and took off her feeding pipe. I think that she secretly wanted nice pictures with her « Tata Saraha » who is visiting us.
She was right. I took nice pictures of her and her Tata and I hope you are also liking these pictures.

  • miniz tata - Heaps of souvenirs : it was such a great time being together and so hard to say goodbye […] many tears
I miss her very much but will come back asap!!!!
    love and kisses xo

nb: some pics should be deleted, I didn’t give you the image right 🙂ReplyCancel

  • miniz tata - 6 mois aujourd’hui!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! un gros bisou à ma petite chérie que j’aime tant xoxoReplyCancel

After having met her « Tante Sophie » Ketsia had the chance to eventually meet her « Tonton Tim ». It was a really nice week-end. Ketsia was very happy to meet her aunt again and her « Tonton Tim » for the very first time… and as usual in order to look always prettier than ever, she took off on Saturday evening her feeding pipe. We are almost used to it and it becomes now « routine ». As we have to always look on the bright side of the life (wee wo wee wo wo wo wee wooo) this was again a good occasion to take nice pictures. So Enjoy.

At this moment Lisa and I are struggling against Ketsia’s re-flux. She made progress in her drinking skills but keeping the milk in the belly is another challenge. I know that is it the same with all the children but when the drugs for her heart also go out we are not really really happy… But as says the song « always look on the bride side of the life », she is drinking and this was a funny occasion to make a song. Tim and Marie are great singers and I am a crazy dad. All the ingredients were there to do some something crazy all together: 4 chords, one crazy dad, one crazy aunt, one crazy uncle and a beautiful baby.
I hope you like the song.
