Back to the basics…

Summer is back and the shooting season is about to start again after the “Noémie” pause… Last long weekend and especially last Whit Monday, which was btw the birthday of my lovely wife, was a great occasion to “go back to basics”.
I am indeed using my 35mm 1.4L and my 85mm 1.2L a lot. I just love them !!! But when you´re doing a portrait session or are shooting a wedding it always good to remember what are all your possibilities. So I decided to back to my old and faithful 50mm 1.4. Back to the basics as I started to take photography seriously with that lens (still on my 350d three years ago). I can remember the day I entered the camera store having received a few days ago my first paycheck of my new job in the Hague. I wanted to celebrate it by buying my first prime lens ever. 10 minutes later I was the proud owner of a canon 50 mm 1.4. It was the beginning of a long journey…

Even if I am more into my 35mm or my 85mm now, I must admit that my 50mm 1.4, which is not a L lens, is still a pretty good one. It’s quite light in comparison to its “L cousins” and delivers great pics. We had fun with it and I hope you like the results.

Have a nice week-end and see you soon for some pretty cool things happening in the coming weeks.
