A fight for life…

I’m sure you’ve faced this quote once. It hit me when I was thinking about making a post over the birth of our little sweet girl – « Today is God’s gift » – Have you ever thought that the time you have is a gift, a present, is precious?
We are told that time is running and we are often running out of time, trying to meet the deadlines (time is money and trust me with my work I really know what limit dates are).
But is it really the way life should be, a fight for more time, against time? My answer is no.
Life should be a fight for life. It sounds a little bit crazy but let us go on with Ketsia now.

Ketsia Merveille R. is a really beautiful and tough sweet girl. She cried out for the first time on September 8th at 8.05 am… It was a magical moment, full of emotions after a really long fight for giving birth (pregnant women are warriors and Lisa was so amazing). The doctors said she made a really good start and with her condition (see previous articles) it’s such a relief. People say she looks a lot like me, she’s got my nose, my mouth but she’s got her mom’s look which strikes you when she is awake. I’m sure you’ll love her.

She’s really tough but also so fragile. She’s receiving medication for her heart condition and surgery should take place in the coming days, weeks… How everything will be is in the quote  – « tomorrow is a mystery » – and it is no time to worry about tomorrow.

« Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. » Matthew 6:34

Ketsia is fighting for life in her own way… and what about us ? Lisa and I are really God thankful for the time with have with her, for the fact we could already hold her, for the people who helped us during the delivery, for the people who are taking care of Ketsia now (really great people), and for all our family and friends who supported and are still supporting us. It’s quite a hard time but we want to fight for it and enjoy every second.

And you, what are you thankful for? Just take time (yeah that’s the thing – to take time) to realize what your fight for life is and how time so precious is that you should be thankful for.
